Trends come and go and some are here to stay. Last year brands took more risks with their graphics and website designs. This year shows a strong shift to bold but unique design trends from big brands like Apple and Google. In this article we take a look at 5 website and graphic designs for brands in 2019.
1. Logos That Tell a Story
As a business owner, there can be many ideas into your mind about logo designs for the websites. Furthermore, you can use many tools for creating a logo like Canva. In order to create an effective website, the logo must represent the brand. According to 99 Designs the following elements will play a big part in logos in 2019: color, storytelling and design-defying experimentation. Elevated space is another logo trend that we are hearing about. These types of logo designs leverage the negative space as the designer has plans to push the limit and use as much space in the whole design
2. Vivid Colors That Pop
Colors are the soul of the website. Moreover, the color combination creates an important influence on the website. In 2019 vivid colors are trending. Vivid colors are hues that are bright and attention grabbing like pink or turquoise. Here’s a sample of a digital marketing consultant website that uses bright vivid colors in the design. A more well-known brand that uses vivid colors and who makes a living by staying ahead of the curb is Spotify.
Apple most recently added vivid colors to their logo not that long ago which you can see below. I anticipate for them to continue to incorporate it into the brand slowly. In 2016, Instagram launched gradient vibrant colours this trend is continuous. Gradients
have a tone of different dark and light colors combined. More logos are designed using gradient vibrant colors.
3. Micro Animations
Micro animations are gaining more and more popularity. They are a cool way to incorporate your brands unique features in an easy to digest way. Micro animations can be either hand drawn or digital. One important feature they offer to your audience is making the page come to life with multiple motions.
Hierarchy and focus – Micro animations provide hierarchy and focus to a web design. When you see an animation, the user is automatically attracted to it. This is perfect for the onboarding process which you want to follow up with a button so the user can take a desired action of your choice. It is important to not overdo micro animations as too many moving elements in a page confuse the audience with your message.
4. Typography
It is easy to write in times roman or calibre. But there are many other types of fonts that can increase the quality of the business website and user experience. One kind of font will look boring. Moreover, writing is according to the context and verified through SEO rules and regulations.
According to 99 Designs, these are the top 9 font trends in 2019.
- Extra-loud bold fonts
- Minimal sans serif fonts
- Nostalgic vintage fonts
- Evolving script fonts
- Outline fonts
- High-contrast serif fonts
- Quirky fonts
- Messy fonts
- Unique hand-lettering
3d Typography: This typography is trending into 2019. As technology moves into more 3d products such as TVS and games, audiences also crave this modern branding. Elements of 3d typography include: titling, shadows, distinct layering of text and embossing or lighting changes. You can use this tool such as this one from Sculpteo to create 3d typography or you can use Adobe Illustrator.
5. Isometric Design
An isometric design is a 3d drawing of an object. This would be the opposite of a flat icon design. It works really well as an isometric design contains shape, simplicity and depth. According to Design Shack, “Designers are also opting to create and use isometric icon sets with shapes and elements that look real in combination with bright color schemes.” Shadows are used to create a visual flow and hierarchy in the isometric design.
